Ty Davisson

Mr. Ty Davisson is a master instructor with Eastern Kentucky University, an academic partner of the RDPC.

Mr. Davisson is currently the training/exercise specialist with Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management. With numerous years of experience in the field, he has been at the frontlines of strengthening the core tenants of the emergency management profession. Mr. Davisson is also a team leader for the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP) and has been deployed to provide emergency management expertise to both domestic and international agencies.

As a state-recognized instructor in Missouri, Mr. Davisson has been responsible for teaching and providing technical expertise and assistance to numerous rural and urban communities throughout the state on behalf of the Missouri State Emergency Management Agency and Missouri Office of Homeland Security. Examples of topics he has presented include emergency operations center management and planning, emergency operations center design, disaster response and recovery operations, emergency operations plan development, and exercise design and evaluation.

Mr. Davisson is a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), a Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP), and also serves on the CEM Commission for the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM). He has a bachelor of science degree in intercultural studies and a master of science degree in emergency management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. In his current emergency management position he is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of the jurisdictional training and exercise programs, as well as the public education and community outreach initiatives.
