After attending the RDPC course AWR 225 CBRNE Response for Rural First Responders, many participants were prepared for a massive gas line explosion along Interstate-77 in Sissonville, WV. The Department of Homeland Security certified 7 new RDPC courses. The RDPC website has updated the website with a new layout that makes it easier for users to find the information they need. The RDPC now offers Interactive Television (ITV) as a distance learning option. FEMA Student Identification (SID) is now required to register for RDPC courses. The RDPC Spotlight is Mr. Tim Maloney, an adjunct instructor for the University of Findlay. Train derailment in Ohio and the importance of staying prepared for emergencies of all kinds.
