The year 2011-12 marks the sixth year of operation for the Rural Domestic Preparedness Consortium (RDPC), a part of the National Training and Education System within the U.S. Departmentof Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency (DHS/FEMA). This system is dedicated to the advancement of the knowledge, skills, and abilities among state and local emergency responders and associated support systems to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters in their area.

Through this annual report we share with you the accomplishments achieved in the past 20 months to better prepare this Nation’s small and rural communities through all-hazards training, thereby increasing community resilience, response capabilities, and whole community involvement.
