MGT-381-V: Business Continuity Planning

Course Description

This virtual training prepares small and large businesses to effectively plan for emergencies of all types. Developed by the NorthWest Arkansas Community College’s Institute of Corporate and Public Safety in partnership with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Tyson Foods, Inc., and J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc., as well as with public sector first responders. This eight-hour management-level course, delivered in two four-hour Zoom sessions, is designed to prepare small and large businesses to effectively plan for emergencies of all types. The course was developed by the NorthWest Arkansas Community College’s Institute of Corporate and Public Safety in partnership with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., Tyson Foods, Inc., and J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc., as well as with public sector first responders. This course strives to teach executive-level managers and small business owners how to develop a comprehensive and effective business continuity program from start to finish. Course Prerequisites

*Participant must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign national approved by DHS. Recommended (not required): IS-100: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS), IS-235: Emergency Planning, IS-453: Introduction to Homeland Security Planning, IS-700: National Incident Management System (NIMS), An Introduction, IS-800: The National Response Framework (NRF), An Introduction, and IS-2900: National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF).
